Frequently Asked Questions

How to book an appointment?

No appointments are required for first or second doses for youth between the ages of 12 – 25 or their family members at these clinics (while vaccine supplies last).

Appointments will be honoured the week of August 11 – 14 at Grand River CI, Southwood SS or Huron Heights SS.

Who can get the vaccine?

Youth between the ages of 12 and 17 are now eligible to get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Youth must be 12 years old at the time of their appointment.

What vaccine will be given?

Health Canada has approved the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for anyone 12 years of age and older. See the resources below for more information.

It takes two weeks after you have received your second dose to receive the full benefits and protection from the vaccine. These clinics offer youth the opportunity to be fully immunized for their return to school in September.
