Dear Forest Hill Families:

We hope this message finds all of you doing well. All of us at Forest Hill are so excited to soon reconnect with you and your children. For many of us, this will be the first time we’ve seen or spoken with each other since school closure on March 13!

School will be different for all of us with some noticeable changes. Many students will return to Forest Hill in-person ready to learn new routines and precautions for everyone’s health and safety. Others will begin distance learning at home, with new challenges and opportunities. What has NOT changed, however, is our love for your children and our determination to help them succeed.

For students returning in-person, we are doing a staggered, alternate-day start so all of us can reconnect and learn new routines in a gradual way:

  • On Tuesday, September 8th, ONLY students with last names beginning A-I will come to school (Students with last names J-Z and Distance Learners remain at home)
  • On Wednesday, September 9th, ONLY students with last names J-Z will come to school (Students with last names A-I and Distance Learners remain at home)

This alternate-day schedule will continue until Friday, September 18th.

For Distance Learning students and their families, WRDSB has provided this update. You no doubt have more questions and there are still more details to come. Please stay updated by subscribing to the WRDSB website, our school website, and Forest Hill School-Day.

Please know how much we’ve missed you, and how committed we are to restoring the care and support you have come to know at Forest Hill. We’ll be in touch with you again soon.
